I am in the final year of my PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and am currently on the job market. My research is primarily in partial differential equations; in particular, I primarily study free boundary problems, fluid dynamics and microlocal analysis. For my dissertation, I am working on the water waves problem (local well-posedness in the presence of geometry and damping, lifespan of solutions, control/stabilization of water waves, numerical algorithms for water waves). I am also interested in harmonic analysis, nonlinear pde, geometric measure theory, mathematical finance and so on. I enjoy studying set theory, foundations of math, philosophy of math, etc. in my spare time, but am by no means an expert.
