I`m a programmer that has, over the years, fallen into the trap of becoming the jack of all trades in the realm of programming. I have wanted to find a good language to master and learn many intricate about the language including different frameworks that go with it and what not, but ultimately I just haven`t done so. I love programming in Perl, but lately I have been teaching myself Python. I love to read books and hike in the woods whenever I get the chance (and when the weather is cool enough); I also enjoy disc golf. I also enjoy PC gaming, though I`m more of a solitary player and it seems that more and more games are falling into the multiplayer model these days. It`s not that I have anything against this model, it`s just that gaming is an escape for me and I prefer to not have to compete against others in my leisure. I also REALLY look forward to the day that I can move away from the south. I do not care for the heat. I hope one day to move to the north west (Washington or Oregon perhaps); perhaps maybe even more to another country one day (Denmark would be nice). For now, I live in Mobile Alabama with my wife and three children and my dog and cat. My wife is an anthropology major and has been trying to break into the field ever since she got her degree (but we all know how difficult that can be). I`m here to try to help others and receive help when I need it myself. I would also love to build up a community of connections. I want to break into the open source field and hope to find a project that interests me soon to get begin lending a hand where I can.
