Monique Velarde Reyes has been practicing criminal law in the state of Texas since 2007. She obtained her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She obtained a Post Baccalaureate degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, and soon thereafter served the El Paso area, working as a school teacher at Canuttllo Middle School for several years before heading to law school. She graduated from S. J. Quiney College of Law at The University of Utah with a Doctorate of Jurist Prudence.
