Jorge M. Cruz-Duarte (b. 1990 Colombia) is a Researcher Professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC), and a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI-CONACyT) and IEEE. He is also a reviewer of several scientific journals, e.g., Applied Soft Computing, Swarm Evolutionary and Computation, Applied Thermal Engineering, and Mathematical Reviews. Jorge received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Guanajuato (UGto). He was in a Short Research Stay at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB). In a Postdoctoral Stay in the Research Group with Strategic Focus in Intelligent Systems, at TEC. During this stay, he worked on a joint project between TEC and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) for the Integration of Data Science and Optimisation, which gave place to the CUSTOMHyS framework. His research interests include Data Science, Optimisation, Mathematical Methods, Thermodynamics, Digital Signal Processing, Electronic Thermal Management, and Fractional Calculus.
