I received email from a distant cousin in Switzerland who claims ghis and sent a portrait of a Kuban Cossack military leader in style of dress circa 1800 named Eliseu Gigowsky, also my Great Grandfather Franciszek emigrated to Village of Dorr Michigan circa 1860 from north central Poland and used this variation of name for several years. His father, mother Johann and Marianne, father buried at St. Staislaw cemetery near Dorr Mich."
