My publication list can be seen at: Main interests revolve around Studies of the Earth`s upper atmosphere (i.e. the ionosphere-thermosphere and protonosphere-exosphere coupled systems). We spend a lot our time looking for ways to improve accuracy and precision of the measurements we make with incoherent scatter radars, and other complementary remote sensing techniques so that when we try to use the observations to help us learn (or at least get clues) as to why the behaviour of the Earth`s upper atmosphere can still be so puzzling we know we have done our best to beat down the random errors to a manageable level (it turns out there is a point where you have to be tolerant about this when your signal is coming from a somewhat random and noise-like environment). Systematic errors on the other hand are not to be tolerated. Many a published paper`s main claim to fame can traced to the authors being mislead by systematic errors or in some cases they have been clever enough to not be mislead by the errors that were in original data but then proceed to find `correction` factors and in the process end up `discovering` artifacts.
