I have 20 years of professional experience in various technology stacks. These include Scala, Erlang, Unix SysAdmin, Kafka, Haskell, Smalltalk, Python, AWS Cloud Stacks and more. I founded Lambda Luminaries, a functional programming user group, in 2011. We have been holding monthly meetups ever since. I believe functional programming techniques is a way for our industry to achieve better quality in the systems we build. My work day is focused on making the Scala developers in our multi-national team more productive. Either by automating repetitive tasks, advocating better techniques, or listening to what our developers have to say and finding creative solutions to remove any impediments.
