On Saturday January 12 2019, Lawrence Kolybabi from Canada left the following message for Bert Polet:
"Hello Bert, I hope you're well. I was very sorry to hear of your loss. I don't remember ever meeting Jean. I understand she was a wonderful lady. The last time we met at the Meadows Fall Supper some years back, you introduced me to your sister. I don't know how busy you are these days, however, I would love to meet with you for a coffee or brunch someday, while we are still on this side of the grass. I have been retired from United Grain Growers for 26 years, so pretty much sleep late, and do not play Golf. I would just like to revisit our shared experiences when we were teenagers. Our Travel arrangements, visits we made to the Beaches, the Tilt-a-Whirl Rides at Winnipeg beach, your first car, the Hudson, our close calls with Law Enforcement. There are getting to be very few people still around to talk to, of those glorious days we shared. I grew up and still live in Transcona at 323 Dowling Ave.East. I have had a number of health issues over the years and have an ICD in my chest but luckily it hasn't prevented me from driving yet. So if you ever want to get together with me, e-mail or call and I'll be sure to respond. Sincerely, Lawrence"
