On Thursday October 11 2018, Gerardo Tango from the United States left the following message for Mikkelsen Kenneth:
"Cioue! I and my brother Capt. Antonio Tango, are "the last Tango's" of the Kapelmeister Egisto Tango (Napoli-Humlabaek) connexion. In Agosto 1984, during my musicological research tour through Danimarca, Maestro Emil Telmanyi at Holte told me that a certain "Ove Mikkelsen/Michaelsohn/altri?" went, when no body else could or did, to my uncle's death bed, bringing him an antique Catholic crucifix so he could die with this traditional Italian sacramental sign in hand. My good friend, the late Prof. Dr. Maestro Gerhardt Schepelern (Aarhus/Kobenhavn) was in process of trying to find the Descendents of Signore Ove M. through e.g. those of Maestro Otto Mortensen ("Le Tombeau d'Egisto Tango"/Nocturne #3 of 5. Wilhelm Hansens Musik Forlag. The ONLY musical memorial of a conductor in existence. Are you: Linked to Sign. Ove M? And/or can you help Antonio and I find his descendents so we can thank them? Likewise to the descendents of M. Mortensen (are any of these by chance active in Baroque Music gro ups in DK/Classico Records cd "Schickhardt: 12 Sonatas for Guitar and b.c.?) More generally, my brother and I, after Hurricane Katrina and other adversities destroyed most of our archivio storico di Egisto Tango, are seeking to link up with any and all such friends of my uncle's artistry as may exist. In re: your book THE NEO GENERALIST, I am going to propose a joint book review (I have published over 285 book reviews, 1985-date) with my long time friend and mentor, Prof. Ciriaco Moron-Arroyo, Emerson Hincliffe Professor of Interdisciplinary Romance Studies, Cornell University (ex Director, Cornell Institute for the Humanities, and a long time participant in the general vs techton education debate/THE MISSION OF THE UNIVERSITY as per both Card. Newman and Jose Ortega y Gasset, on which latter he has published vade mecums). Insofar as he is past 85 years, I will also approach my fellow Cornell classmate, Prof. Bruce Roig, Director, Liberal Studies Program, Casenovia College (a Wittgenstein and Ryle scholar). With thanks and hoping to hear from you in re: both the case of Ove M. and your thoughtful and heuristic book, I am con Vivissimi Auguri! Ing. Gerardo G. Tango, CPG, RG Consulting Geophysicist-Editor Tulsa, Oklahoma"
