I`m the founder of Format My Thesis, a specialised thesis formatting service offering 1-on-1 support to individual clients (typically PhD students) as well as running training seminars and workshops at local universities. I work exclusively in Microsoft WORD and make heavy use of templates, styles and other power features of WORD. As a former applications programmer, I frequently dip into VBA to automate some of the more laborious, repetitive and error-prone aspects of the formatting process. It`s a lot of fun pulling rabbits out of WORD`s hat each day and seeing my clients` faces light up as they watch their sometimes shabby thesis documents transform into elegant, publishable books.
