Hi! I`m Irfaan Khalid. I`m an SDE I at Amazon Advertising in New York. I graduated from Vanderbilt University in May 2019 with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics. Afterwards, I moved to New York and officially joined Amazon in July 2019. While I was at Vanderbilt, I spent over three years serving as the Director of Sponsorship, President, and Senior Adviser of VandyHacks, Vanderbilt`s annual student-run collegiate hackathon. I was also President of Vanderbilt Toastmasters, our on-campus chapter of Toastmasters International. I also studied abroad in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during the spring semester of my junior year. I`m passionate about software engineering and web architecture; these are my favorite areas in which to work and fields in which I hope to continue growing my skills. Seeing as Amazon is my first full-time job out of school, I`m thrilled to be spending the foreseeable future here building useful technology and pushing my skill set via Amazon Advertising`s aggressive initiatives and Amazon`s leadership principles. Outside of work, I love to work out, take pictures, and write. I spend a lot of time exploring my new home in New York, learning about self-improvement, and playing with my cat, A$AP Meow. Lastly, I`m a huge hip-hop head; my all-time favorite artists include J. Cole, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, and Childish Gambino. ©
