My current research is directed to understand the fundaments behind the robust phenomena in nature, in particular, I am interested in to know how dissipative structures emerge in spatially-extended systems, as well as their very rich dynamical behavior (motion, oscillations, chaos, spatiotemporal chaos, intermittency, synchronization among many others). I am interested too in the modeling of such robust phenomena through PDEs, ODEs, CML, and Dynamical Systems coupled in Networks. In mathematics, I have also interest in several topics related to graph theory, dynamical systems, probability, and statistics. In computer science, I am an enthusiast in the art of computer programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and in algorithms in general. ©

I am a Resource Geologist in the gold mining industry. That means I estimate the quantity and grade of gold mineral resources. My work includes spatial interpolation of grades using methods such as kriging and conditional simulations. A real focus for me is quantifying the risk associated with these models and the very limited data available for the estimation. I am branching out further into Python as I realize the limitations of some of the closed software solutions I have used for the last 20+ years. A real influence for me is the value of the Python community and of communities such as stackoverflow. ©
