My name is Matthew Bestard, I`m a newly minted software developer from Fullstack Academy who is ready to take on the challenges of the tech industry. I`ve loved computers since an early age when I was exposed to DOS and Windows 95 and I also have an interest in history and archaeology. In middle-school and high-school I began learning C / C++ and experimented with writing programs, simple video games and learning about Linux and Unix. I had originally planned on a career in programming but when I got to college I took a turn into a more academic setting and I pursued my love of Archaeology. After college, I worked as an archaeologist for 3 years in New York and Colorado and had a great experience but I felt that I wanted to go back to my love of computers and get into a profession where I can build something. For the future I hope to be able to have a career where I can use my programming skills to create useful software and explore the world of computers more deeply. ©
