Got my first computer when I was four, wrote my first program when I was six (to play chords on the computer instead of doing them on the piano like I was supposed to). Got in to demoscene when I was in my early teens (biggest success was fifth place in Assembly intro compo) and ended up working for web media company instead of studying CS because I felt that the workplace was more in the cutting edge than what was available for me in university. I`ve always wanted to learn the best way to do things, which explains my large experience with programming languages. I think most languages have a best use situation and none of them work in every situation, so adaptation is the best policy. I`ve also been lucky to work with great developers and learn a lot from collaborating with them. On my free time (which exists if I don`t have any interesting problems to solve at work, problem solving is fun!) I like to read about technologies, hike around the UK or read books (fantasy and scifi mostly).
