Hello, my name is Pedro H. Narloch. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul with the intention to defend my Ph.D. thesis in October/2021. All my research is focused on developing bio-inspired algorithms (meta-heuristics) for Structural Biology problems, specifically the Protein Structure Prediction and Molecular Docking problems. My Ph.D. work has been coded using Python as a programming language, adding up to a total of 6 years of Python experience. Part of my research is currently being applied to AutoML for Feature Selection and Hyperparameter optimization for Machine Learning and Data Science Pipelines. Besides my research activities, I had enriching experiences at TOTVS as a Java Web Developer and at Gesplan as a Systems Analyst, working with Java and C++ programming languages. †Currently, I work as a University Professor in two expressive universities in Brazil, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and UNICURITIBA (part of Ânima Group).
