Hi there! Guil here, customer experience manager. Working with humans and machines to challenge the traditional and create meaningful experiences that help people`s lives. Happy customers and growing business. I started as a trainee developer back in 2003. Borland Delphi was the one! In 2004 I moved to a digital agency when I deep dived in HTML, PHP, and ASP. But Web Apps were demanding more complex solutions, and so I moved to C# in 2006. Still, since 2004, I was wasting a considerable time building the User Interface. I thought, why it needs to look so bad!. Finally, in 2009, I was officially working as a User Interface Designer for Web applications. And in the same year, I started working with a tool called Silverlight, from Microsoft. At that time, we would create prototypes in Silverlight and, if the User Interface was approved (we already had UI guidelines and elements at that time:)), that code was not wasted. We would pass it on to the developers, and he/she would polish it and add the necessary parts to make it work. Fast-forwarding to 2012, I came to Dubai, and from there on, I worked as a UX Lead at Emaratech, tried my entrepreneurship skills at EOV, and was part of the UX ops of the 1st design studio at Etisalat. The last one was the team that drove the digital transformation project for Etisalat in 2017, and not only that but the design for Smiles app and Swyp, both relevant mobile apps in the market, especially for Smiles. Now I`m taking care of the Customer Experience ( CX ) of payit, the first fully-featured wallet from FAB. Here, we work closely with users, creating customer journeys, prototypes, doing remote testing and also running workshops with customer and partners, in order to find out the real problem we need to create a solution. Moreover, support our business team on what features we need to focus on, consider our customer at the center of what we do. It`s been a great journey, and I`m happy to see the numbers growing, which translates the efforts from the committed team we have in the house. I`m happy to connect and share experiences over a coffee, in case you are in the UAE. If not, just hit the button Message and let`s stay in touch.
