In 2015, I left a lengthy career in internet marketing to study software development. This was a difficult decision, but I had long been craving more technical and analytical work, and a short stint working closely with developers as a product manager inspired me to pursue it in this way. My new craft was immediately very engaging, and after several months of studying on my own, I completed a full-stack bootcamp. This led to a Python web developer position at LasLabs Inc., which was an awesome first role, with countless learning opportunities and exciting new problems to tackle each week. Sadly, LasLabs is now closing its doors, but my future direction has never been more clear. I’m determined to continue working in software development and am searching for a permanent position in the Bay Area, with a preference for backend work, especially in Python or Ruby.
