System.out.println(Hello World) My name is Doug and i would see myself as an aspiring student of software development. My journey started in 2018 after years of abuse to my body in the way of physical labor. Feeling the toll on my aching knees and chasing after 2 young children at the ripe old age of 28 I found it time for a career change and took my first step into the realm of self learning. After countless youtube videos i found myself with the ability to do little more than type Hello world in five or six languages. But then i discovered the wonderful world of open courseware. With the help of edx`s cs50, along with MITs open courseware the puzzle pieces finally seem to be fitting! Fast foward to today and i`m taking my education a step further by enrolling into a community college with the ultimate goal of transferring those credits to a 4 yr school and who knows where the world of coding will take me after that.
