I am a senior full-stack developer and System Administrator from Nuremberg, Germany. I’ve been working on software development for the past nine years, earlier as a hobby, that quickly evolved into my passion. Five years ago I got an apprenticeship as a system administrator near Nuremberg, where I’ve learned how to administrate LINUX servers and networks. I quickly discovered that updating every of the 72 V-Servers by hand was not very efficient and evolved my skills into software deployment and configuration-management projects – mainly Puppet, Salt and Ansible. This was a huge success, as it removed load off the system and network teams onto delivering better and more stable networks and servers. Three years ago when the hype of cloud computing really boomed into live, I discovered yet another passion of mine: Developing scalable and faulttolerant software applications, that can heal itself. I started off on AWS – Amazon Web Service – and since then evolved my skills onto various other cloud providers, naming just Google Cloud Platform (GCE) and Rackspace. I combined my skills from software development, with the ones from my past programming experience and discovered where my heart really was: Exactly in creating these enterprise-grade software solutions, making sure everything stays up (a pain for a system administrator), maintaining large scalability and making sure new software updates get to the customer quickly (of course well tested). Using my skills in JAVA, Scala, Go and Ruby I developed various backend services, that scale and heal themselves. Using JavaScript with on-top stacked frameworks like React.JS(preference), Ember.JS and Angular I developed already various blogs, websites and enterprise portals, including SSO and OAuth providers.
