Hello! I have spent much of quarantine trying to learn how to make a website from scratch and understanding the term "coding". I realize the rabbit hole gets deeper at every turn. I heard about bootcamps like Flat Iron School and thought, maybe I`ll do that. But essentially convinced myself I wanted to learn on my own. I started out by reading "Headfirst into HTML," actively going through the exercises and thought prompts. I then began "Headfirst into Javascript" and realized that I need to really cement HTML and CSS concepts in my head before I start messing around with programming. I just completed a 6 week "Intro to Web Design: HTML, CSS, and Javascript structures" course which was offered free through the state of NY. I just another similar course through John Hopkins, and go through free online tutorials. I feel as though I am making progress While doing this, I also have been going through tutorials about design using iPad apps like Procreate and Vectornator to allow me to create original designs for icons, images, and other such things. Currently, I am also going through the freecodecamp.org curriculum step by step to further hammer fundamental concepts in my head. I am joining stack overflow because I realize I need to communicate with people in this field in order to grow. My goal is to be able to work remotely, creating and websites while also pursuing my passions in music and traveling. I currently bartend 3 days a week to pay the rent, and spend a majority of my free time working on bettering myself as a developer.
