By day: I work for a motor insurer as a data analyst/MI developer/Data consultant, whatever my analytical or logical mindset applies to. I help people make sure that data integrity is treated as very important and advise them on which we`ll need, in what particular format, then i`ll put together spreadsheets or reports on SQL queries that turn that manipulate that data into awe inspiring MI used to make strategic decisions on how the business runs......so that`s 3 days a week. The other 2 days a week I work from home mostly for a credit hire company (owned by the same group as the insurer) developing software called Proclaim(I`ve been told it`s much like visual basic, just without debugging tools. For those of you who don`t know it`s intended for solicitors but we have our own custom version. I was given a 3 day user course and had to learn from forums and existing processes to teach myself how to develop the system. Again similar to my other job this is the core of what I do and I often end up doing loads of other stuff that doesn`t fit the job description. By night: I grew up with computers from the early days of an IBM machine running Windows 3.1 and a commodore 64 so I`m very interested in technology. I love to build my own machines, keep up with what`s happening on the consumer PC market. I love doing anything creative which you wouldn`t expect includes learning coding skills, coding, I`m very partial to Microsoft Excel, formulas and some Excel based VBA. I`m always keeping up with Google, their phones especially (Currently roccking te 128gb Pixel XL....and loving it and the sweet taste of Nougat). Also a huge fan of photography and have spend a fair amount on equipment. Seeing the sun rise over the Swiss alps is something I`ll never forget, wish I got more photos though.
