I`m, for the time being, an independent desktop developer. I`ve programmed desktop applications in Visual Basic 6.0, Delphi, C#, and Java. I`ve also designed and develop databases with Access, SQL Server, and MariaDB. And I have experienced with UML diagrams (mostly static ones). My programmer life started back in 1987, when I took a programming in MBASIC course. Then I moved to FoxPro until I decided to change platforms from MS-DOS to Windows. Then came Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, and Java (in that order). I`ve mostly developed accounting desktop applications in Visual Basic, C#, and Java, with databases. But also created a small server that produces oids (object ids) based on the Scott Ambler`s High/Low approach. This small server was written in Java. For an accounting application I made for some independent delivery companies that worked under franchise contracts for Cerveceria Polar in my country, I developed a framework written in C#, divided in two sections: a general applications framework and a business framework. Currently, I`m creating small desktop utility applications in Java for a Call Centre. I`m also studying C/C++ programming. I`m really interested in automation. And, finally, in a more personal side, I`m a fan of films (well made ones of almost any genre), hard rock music (I`m an amateur drummer) and classical music, and comics (especially Batman). I`ve written short stories in Spanish (not yet in English).
