Reproducibility is at the heart of the scientific method. Barely critical in normal user consuming products (Video, Music, Games, etc...), it is on the other end raising a huge concern in research because of frauds, uncertainties and non-reliable findings. To simply put it, imagine figuring out a set of procedures to generate the most secure way to send humans to Mars. Yet on the best case you can`t guaranty to reproduce this most safe experience because some of the procedures are not reliable and in the worst case you did it once and but you simply cannot reproduce the experience at all. My current research as a PhD student, focuses on investigating architectures, schemes, paradigmes that will increase and in some case guaranty research results: Repeatability, Replicability and Reproducibility. I keep my eyes on both experimental and computational side of research. To express how low level my thoughts go i will let you with these reflexions: When we do calculs (except division) why do we compute from right to left? Is that the most efficient way to do calculus? You will tell me. :-). And yes this had something to do with reproducibility. My background is in Software engineering in general on many platforms (Computers, Mobile Devices, Servers). My interest in distributed systems has leaded me to master the whole process of going from a specification to the releases of cloud infrastructures: backend-frontends, administration, lifecycle management. I have developed the tendency to look toward entrepreneurship. My hacking skills go from hardware to software with a pronounced taste in robotics and electronics. My working environment is rich enough that i meet and interact with other areas of interest: Data analysis and field aim processing, Biology, Physics, Optics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Specialities: Software Engineering, Mobile and Embedded Systems, Image and Vision Processing.
