I am a self-taught web developer living in Newport News, VA. I learned how to code through hard work and dedication, all while serving in the U.S. Navy. I made the decision to teach myself to code when I decided I wanted a better future for myself once I was out of the U.S. Navy. Through a lot of persistence and discipline, I taught myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. After I got my foundation built, I knew I needed to learn more valuable technologies used by professionals in the industry, so I went on to learn PHP, WordPress, Node.js, Express, React.js, Redux, MongoDB, GraphQL, and Bootstrap Studio.
