I have an 8TB external Seagate drive formatted in ext4, when I was using Ubuntu. But since I was not a techie, I found Ubuntu hard to use and moved to Windows 10 and was using Paragon software to read my two ext4 drives. Both drives used to be recognized in Windows, but suddenly, one day, the 8 TB drive stopped being recognized in Windows. I asked help from Paragon, they did a TeamViewer session but failed to help. They suggested I boot into Ubuntu and see if the drive is recognized there. I did that, but the drive still does not show. I am using the latest version of Ubuntu to boot. I have read everything about this issue but no answer has solved my problem. I know I don`t have points and experience and all the stuff you need to get noticed, but Please help me solve this problem. Either, 1. Help me recognize the drive in Ubuntu. 2. Help me ascertain that the drive is dead and cannot be saved. 3. Help me ascertain that the drive can be saved and how. I would be most grateful.
