John Jorgensen has nearly 30 years experience in the information technology field, with the last 20 as a web developer. He has a broad background in print, broadcast and digital media having worked with regional, national and international press and media organizations. John began his career in the Air Force, working with mainframe computer systems. After leaving the service, he founded a technology company that manufactured and sold PC computer systems and workstations in the print, graphics and broadcast media vertical markets. In 1995 he sold his computer company and launched his own web development company. His media experience led him to contracts with several news and media organizations and other vertical markets as well. John has specialties in newsroom editorial management, news aggregation and digital broadcast, online communities, content management systems, digital video and audio, search engine optimization, digital signage systems, online advertising and digital branding. He is passionate about good user interface design and user experience, and is always working to make websites more functional and easy to use.
