I`m a 50-something confirmed bachelor with a CS degree from an Ivy League university - but I`ve never been hired for my computer skills! Although in almost all of my jobs, my computer knowledge has come in quite handy and, in 1 of my longer jobs, became central to my work. I`ve kept up with the computer industry - in a very generalized sense. I keep up to date on hardware and software capabilities, including networking, cloud computing, IoT, etc., but only enough to know all the many things that can be done, but not how to get them done - unless I need more specific knowledge for my own projects, in which case I`m a fairly fast climber of all but the steepest learning curves. I`ve been a Paramedic, Contractor, Big Box Salesperson and Cashier (16 months of bleeding Orange), and Jack of all Trades - except financial at a family owned wholesale distributor in the construction industry. Now I`m on an extended and planned (mostly) break from working, trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life! ©
