I`m a child of the 80`s, the first computer I got to use was an AppleII, followed closely by getting to use a Commodore VIC-20. The first computer I owned was a Coleco Adam. I started my career in higher-education during the 90`s when Linux and the web were being born. Then I graduated to corporate life where I`ve be involved in the technology of the media industry for the last decade. I dabble in a lot of things. Lately it`s been Objective-C, Python, Django, Fabric, Git. Before switching to Python as my new favorite, I spent a lot of time with Perl (which I learned from the Pink Camel book). update: latest dabbling is in Go(lang) and I am experimenting with Docker and Web Components. Years ago I ran Linux on the desktop-- held out on WindowMaker when all the cool kids were doing Enlightenment. These days I`d rather use the computer than administer it so I use a Mac. Also in the 90`s I lead the Athens, GA Linux Users Group (CHUGALUG) and had a short lived business (hobby really)-- a cyber cafe called The Hard Drive. I usually don`t write this much about myself, but I want the autobiographer badge. ;-)
