As a developer, I go back a long way to the days when 80386 and 80486 IBM PCs on MS-DOS ran the day. I (definitely)don`t rank with the best developers out there, instead my forte is practical applications for practical people. I concede that with more than 2 decades of experience in the Software development industry, I`ve forgotten more languages than the ones I still remember. At various points of my life, I`ve worked with and enjoyed VBA, VB, PHP, Foxpro, C, C++, C#, SQL, JavaScript, Matlab, Mathematica. Of which, I still retain a good fundamental grasp of C#, SQL, Javascript. I aim to learn and enjoy Julia, Rust and Go in the coming decade. I now work with a sharp team of 20 developers and full stack personnel and its safe to say that I can still show some good moves. I`m proud of my team`s skills and love to spend some Teams time with them on some particularly thorny issues. However, it`s no doubt that they are sharper, smarter and more knowledgeable about the domain they work on daily and I`m astonished at some of the things they do. I credit all Open Source authors and creators for the marvellous inventions they have placed and made available to the public domain for our common global benefit. To this intent, I hope that they receive far, far more than they give. I appreciate you having read this far and thank you for our brief journey together.
