Professional Services Consultant - primarily install and data integrations for enterprise commercial software that assists in managing work for call centers and back office. Started my programming career at the University of Iowa - FORTRAN course using punch cards. Slowly grew my career doing scientific programming in C and Fortran on PDP-11 architecture, then SunOS Unix. For past 20 years have mostly been in Microsoft Windows Server environments, using Cygwin, etc to have a useful command line tools. Primary language past 18 years was Java. Now I mostly do MS Powershell, occasional perl, lots of SQL - mostly MS Transact SQL. Big fan of Agile / Continuous Integration / Bamboo and Jenkins Got into Ubuntu via FreeBSD by building my own FreeNAS server. Have since built a compute server (Ubuntu), and pfSense router. I`ve converted a MacBook Air to Mint, and Mac Book Pro to Ubuntu. When I`m not working I like: photography with Olympus Micro 4/3 mirrorless cooking with Ruth Reichl, Julia Childs, Mark Bittman, et al bread baking doom scrolling the NYT NPR Planet Money / economics and history themed podcasts playing with Ubuntu / building my own private cloud
