I`ve always been infatuated with programming and I first started my journey as a software developer by making a recreation of RuneScape when I was 13 years old. I was able to bring up to 50+ people, consecutively, to play my game. I managed to set up a website that connected to the game in order to build a voting and leaderboard system. Eventually, I decided to take a programming course during my senior year in high school, which made me decide that programming is what I find most enjoyable. While I was learning to develop software, I had to learn the hard way that implementing security is a great necessity. This led me to start hacking different applications that I would regularly use. I began to research a ton of methods on how security holes in software are found and I quickly became obsessed with it. Once I learned how to develop software, I was ecstatic to know that I could use this security knowledge and place it into my own websites. However, I’m also an art fanatic, which got me thinking of how I can use this skill to make software development even more exciting. This is what ultimately led me to finish my degree in web design and development. I could work on the best of both worlds. I’m incredibly driven to learn more about these topics, as I find each one of them so fascinating. Bringing a smile to someone’s face is what I find to be the most fulfilling part of my life, and it’s the main reason I enjoy working as a food delivery driver. Just knowing that I could make an even greater impact on peoples’ lives while working as a full-stack software engineer is, arguably, the greatest thing I could have accomplished.
