Many public health studies propose exciting new interventions for preventing disease. However, plenty of investigators struggle with how to quantify the uncertainty of their results. Quantifying uncertainty in public health studies can be particularly difficult because of disease etiology, observational data, and complex sampling. Therefore, I became a collaborative biostatistician to help people understand the meaning of their data and continue the fight against chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular disease.
