I have probably forgotten more about computers (both hardware & software) than I care to admit. I am quite content working within a command shell or the newest version of the latest & greatest. Cobalt, Fortran, DOS and Binary, are not simply coding systems... but are the building blocks upon which all of today`s Operating Systems originated from. Books (yes, real paper & bindings) should never be overlooked as a reference source as my experience tells me that only half of what is found via a search engine query can be accepted as accurate and true. The REAL trick is knowing which half to believe... If these mean anything to you... IBM PC-XT, Zylog Z-80, AMD K2, and yes... the Commodore 64... then you may be older than a 25 year old bottle of single malt. Pour me one and let`s have a chat. ©
