I am a physician by profession but started out as a content writer in 2003 for some web development companies while in medical school to sustain my studies. I did web design for my clients on the side since I already had some graphic design experience in PSD, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Pagemaker. I was able to learn HTML and CSS from my colleagues then later on I created my own websites as a sideline. I went into clinical research after training in Internal Medicine and I was exposed to big data in clinical research. I learned how to analyze data in SPSS and other technologies. I soon discovered the beauty of Python in big data analysis. I got really amazed by software applications, so I studied Python on my own. I am a self-taught Python programmer and I am currently using Python for creating applications for medical and scientific purposes. I then learned how to do Wordpress web development and design and use it for ecommerce. Currently I am a practicing physician and a co-founder of a startup web development company in the Philippines and I think I have found my calling as a web developer focused on medicine and scientific niche. Everyday when I go to work, I design websites and turn them into responsive ones. I also do graphic design for the websites I create. I extend website functionalities by plugin integration, theme customization and a little coding.
