I am a Computer Science student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), still working on my undergraduates and hopefully find an internship related to my major this summer 2017. Although I have had a great interest in technology for a long time, I remember spending hours doing research on programs and applications when I was first introduced to the internet. That was the reason I chose to pursue I degree in that branch of technology, Computer Science. It was at the age of 12 when my family and I moved to Illinois and also had access to the internet fo the first time. Even though I was born in Los Angeles, California, right after I was born, my family decided to move to their homeland, Zacatecas, Mexico, the place where I spent most of my childhood. I want to mention my background because in that place there were not internet connection and just in general technology was not that developed as much as in the United States. It was a 75 hectares ranch with only to houses in it. Once I got the chance to surf the internet, my interest to learn everything on the internet kept growing exponentially. It was not until I started my first semester in UIC when I felt in love with Computer Science. It was thanks to my first CS professor, he made it fun my experience during his course. Even though it was an introductory course to Computer Science, I learned about the importance of algorithms and how much it can help these algorithms in real life. My major goal in life is to be hired by a great company where I can learn a lot about developing awesome works but most importantly, implement my knowledge to its fullest so that way I can keep pushing my limits and learn more. Meanwhile, I will keep progressing my knowledge and skills through my Computer Science courses at UIC, self-study materials, and real-world implementation, so once the time arrives I will be more prepared for it.
