★Mining Engineer with a Passion for Programming★ As a mining engineer, I have a passion for using technology to innovate, and have a diverse set of interests that make me a naturally creative problem solver. For every second of my last five years working and volunteering in the mining industry I have made use of my skills in mathematics, creative problem solving, and leadership by finding solutions to complex, real-world problems. While pursuing my degree in mining engineering, I studied programming in my personal time. I especially enjoy applying programming to business analytics and statistical analysis. My programming experience includes mine haulage system modeling, web development, and statistical analysis. My goal is to work for a flexible, results-driven technology company or consultancy that allows me to use both my technical and artistic talents with a multidisciplinary team of fun and diverse people. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★Technical Skills★ ►Advanced use of Microsoft Excel ►Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) ►Working Knowledge of Python, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, SQL queries, MineSight, SQL Server Management Studio. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ When I am not working or teaching myself to program I enjoy cooking, volunteering at a local Maker Space, 3D printing, laser cutting, graphic design, reading fantasy novels, playing video games, working on websites, programming Arduinos, and traveling with my friends and family.
