This is a short story about my life. During my study of Mechatronics I soon discovered that my heart was in the ICT sector. This reflected in the assignments I received during my course in robotics. We had to write a program to make the robot move. I quickly managed to get it working, it took me less than a day to figure out most of the commands. After that I started adding extra features to the robot, which was not really required, but I wanted to see if I could pull it off. The extra features worked great and it was really impressive to work with this kind of machinery. In the spring of 2009, a group of friends and I were talking about a game we would like to develop. After a few chats with some teachers we started this project. I took the job of the server programming on me. It project went really well. We started off with a chat program. We finished that in just one week. In 2004-2013 I took care of a large game server with more than 2000 simultaneous users online. It still is a huge challenge today to add new software to this server. It has to be both flawless and tremendously optimized to not impact game-play. Every design choice you make can impact performance and latency. Currently I`m involved in the Bitcoin Mining industries. I`ve build multiple large mining clusters in a data-center environment. The largest mine I`ve built to date is 73 Terrahash per second, with new hardware being added frequently. I`m currently developing software which manages all brands of miners in a given network. Every miner is unique in it`s own way, and has to be configured in a specific way. This software also has the capability to monitor running miners, and send out alerts when miners go down.
