Over the past 15 years, Matthew F. Fox has built systems, managed IT departments, and developed websites and applications for the education, publishing and technical service industries. Combined with a passion for design and usability, Matthew’s skills have created systems that are highly available, functional and usable. During his time with The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Matthew designed a fault-tolerant network funded by IT industry leaders Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard, designed to meet the rapidly growing organization and scale globally with ease. Matthew also managed the development of NFTE BizTech, the CODiE-nominated online adaptation of the foundation’s award-winning curriculum, an AP entrepreneurship-focused testing platform for SUNY Empire State College, and served as a Technology Curriculum Board member for the New York City Board of Education. In 2007, Matthew entered the publishing industry as Latina Magazine’s Director of Information Technology and Digital Media. During his time with the company, Matthew worked with a variety of Open Source technologies to rebuild Latina’s online presence, increase digital advertising revenue; collaborating with brands including Toyota, Loréal and Revlon. Before his departure in 2013, he launched the company’s food and entertaining website, The Latin Kitchen. Matthew’s time in the publishing industry continued at Mediabend Capital and Italiantouch USA, building high-traffic editorial and e-commerce websites geared towards the luxury fashion and consumer goods markets. Matthew now holds a dual role as Valiant Cloud’s Senior Developer and Valiant Technology’s Tastemaker. Developing cloud-based data protection tools, providing clients of all sizes with high-performance hosting solutions, and pushing the identity of both companies forward is all in a days work.
