During the summer of 2010 I received an opportunity, one which changed my life. Sam Smith of GravityCan ( Web Agency based in Lincoln, UK) took me on as a Web Developer & Technical Officer, oolala long title . Whilst there I gained a lot of valuable experience which enabled me to become a freelancer and in turn a business owner within the field of web development. This has all happened whilst studying for a degree in Computer Science at the University of Lincoln. Since looking into the web development community I’ve picked up many time saving techniques, coding methods and ways to help keep my time best spent. I’ve completed a wide variety of sites for my clients, these experiences have widened my scope for development exponentially and I appreciate every opportunity which finds its way to me. The pricing I offer to clients always remains fair and extremely competitive, in my opinion it is the reason I receive a steady flow of work from a range of sources. Previous work varies almost like a rainbow would, I’ve worked on single page sites right through to a CMS with over 400 pages and counting. Challenges don’t phase me, so long as I have the time to fit them around my degree. Originality features in my work but with the web development community reinventing aspects on a regular basis it’s hard to notice what hasn’t been done before. I also like to strive for perfection, being a perfectionist doesn’t always work in this situation as clients can change their mind.
