I have always enjoyed taking things apart, putting them back together and trying to work out how they work - I guess that`s why I was drawn to computer hardware from an early age. In my mid-teens, I built a computer from parts I brought from the market (secondhand) so I could play pc games. I quickly decided single player was boring, so I had to build a second, so my friends and I could play lan games in my room. They were called thing one and thing two and served us well. I know what you`re thinking this guy should work in retail.... Well, that`s what I did. I didn`t think to try and work in an area I enjoyed until I was almost 19. A friend recommended a job agency that asked me important questions like, what are your interests, what hobbies do you have - and so my IT journey began. After a few years of IT/application support roles, and hours of self-study, Adhoc programming jobs I decided to re-enter education. I am now completing a computer science and software engineering BSc degree. I have a wealth of programming experience in many languages - I started as a hobbyist, and now I`m expanding my knowledge at University - Java, TypeScript, JS and related technologies such as NodeJS and Angular-cli. Recent projects: * A web-app for the band Shades of Midnight. * I published my first Android game to the market place. * I`ve re-written my CV in the form of a personal website using angular. I like the idea of connected homes and can’t wait for technology to catch up to science-fiction. I spend hours at home learning about technology and code for fun. I listen to many audiobooks a month and spend an hour or so each evening learning languages - At the moment I`m learning Japanese.
