I work as a biogeochemist, forest ecologist, and data analyst. Runner, bike commuter, outdoor enthusiast, and hobby-level carpenter at other times. I`m mostly self-taught in R to analyze ecological data, such as plant species diversity change over time, forest biomass and soil carbon and nitrogen cycling in a variety of US forest types. I have a grad certificate in GIS from Appalachian State University as well, but my GIS skills are waning. Trying to get proficient in open source GIS in R to be able to work outside of the ESRI and ERDAS softwares.
