I got into programming at University way back in 1998, graduated with a HND in Software Engineering, and then went on to complete a first class BSc Honours in Multimedia Technology. I found the multimedia aspect of development most engaging, hence how I started working at schuh back in 2001 developing their e-commerce platforms, you know, there`s lots of graphics, images and fun stuff on the screen. FIFTEEN years later… I’m still here! That must say something for schuh as a company. Schuh have nurtured me through my early years, providing excellent training, support and guidance, in fact they still do, allowing me to hone my web development and database skills. I develop mainly for our online UK, IE and EU/DE e-commerce responsive website platform, but also get to develop other exciting applications such as iPhone apps, in store offerings and internal applications. Schuh has also seen me travel the world, for business of course, where a small group of us ventured to Israel to see what IT offerings are prudent out there, it gives us food for thought as well as a wee jolly as they say. To be perfectly honest, I’ve never looked back since joining schuh. I have progressed my career further now, and lead one of the development teams, I`m still fully engaged in the development of the systems and look forward to what the future brings. ©
