In ages past (90s) I started work on a helpdesk, advising people to restart their PCs. In short order, I led a development team covering Oracle and Unix before discovering .Net 1.0 and leading digital transformation for London local government in a range of platforms. Rescued from a life drawing architecture diagrams that nobody looked at in 2018, I moved into sales as a Field Engineer first in MDM and then with Imply. Now I champion success in the Apache Druid community, driving success through awareness, adoption, and advocacy not just of the coolness of technology but of how people can help one another to be heroes.
