On Sunday April 25 2021, David Olsen from the United States left the following message for Viktor Zuev:
"Victor Zuev. Hello, I hope you speak English. If not, please reply and I will have this translated. I am looking for relatives of Mikhail Yevseyevich Zuev, former Director of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in Tomsk, who I met in Europe in 1987. I selected your name from a list I got off the internet when I couldn't find anyone from Tomsk and you were the closest. I believe he was possibly the grandson of Mikhail Yevseyevich Zuev, known as The Old Believer for his religious affiliation in Belarus where I believe your family originated. He fought against the Soviets during the thirties and I believe was exiled to Siberia as a result. I am writing a novel that has Mikhail as one of the characters and although I will change his name in the book, I want to get the background details correct. He is one of my heroes, having produced over six hundred technical papers and winning several awards including The Order of Lenin. He was also, I believe, decorated for fighting the Japanese during WWII. Thank you, David Olsen. Please let me know if you can help."
