I was born and raised in the Kansas City metro area. I have an awesome, beautiful wife who has supported me on my journey to becoming a developer. We have three boys and they are all energetic and very creative. My background in C# and ASP.NET, but I also know C++. I began coding in 2014 after I decided that is what I wanted to do for a career. I changed my degree to a Computer Science: Information Systems and began taking courses on coding. After graduating in the fall of 2017, I struggled with Imposter syndrome and didn`t pursue any opportunities with my new skill set. But halfway through 2018 I snapped out of it and started to sharpen my skills and have been focusing on getting my first developer job. I have spent 16 years with Hallmark Cards starting out in the distribution facility and working my up to headquarters in Data Management and DIM. My current role serves as the User Server Specialist. I provide user access to Hallmark`s DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems. My goal for 2019 is to land my first developer job. Whatever it takes I`m going to see it through.
