Naser Derakhshan is a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano, and His current research line is within Social Smart Spaces and Internet of Things scenario. This research is funded by TelecomItalia and focuses on the development of methods, technologies, and platforms to conceive advanced, social smart spaces to facilitate the interaction among people, devices, and objects in the physical world. His PhD is under supervision of Prof. Luciano Baresi. He got his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2009. In 2012, he finished his master’s study at the KTH-Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. His master’s thesis was design and implementation of a hardened reconfiguration-controller for selfâ€healing systems on SRAMâ€based FPGAs. His interest topics are Smart Spaces, ubiquitous computing, Wireless communication protocols, Embedded Systems, FPGAs, and Real time operating systems.
