Brigadier General Martin Schweitzer retired on 30 September 2014 from the United States Army after 29 (+) years. His final active duty assignment was Deputy Director for Regional Operations, J3, Joint Staff, the Pentagon where he managed the day to day global military risk for our Nation. In this capacity he worked closely with every combatant command, all uniformed Services, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and many interagency organizations to ensure the day to day needs of the warfighter were met. General Schweitzer now serves as Chief Executive Officer and President, Network Designs, Inc, (NDi). NDi is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) working with government where he is part of a team that helps clients to develop web, application development, and information assurance solutions that will transform the user experience (UX). NDi helps clients design, develop, and deploy websites, applications and communications that deliver true value for end-users. Additionally, NDi information assurance experts help clients address the strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of maintaining a secure IT enterprise. Finally, NDi develops applications that fulfill business objectives while meeting and exceeding the needs of users. In this capacity he is working with the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Energy, Department of State, and the General Services Administration Federal Supply Service. Marty is a Board of Advisor Member to the Red Gate Group, Chantilly, VA and a Board of Advisor Member to Ballard Brands LLC & Ballard Hospitality LLC, New Orleans, LA. General Schweitzer is a 1985 graduate (BS) from Old Dominion University, VA and a 1995 graduate (MS) of Indiana University, IN. He is a 1996 graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College as well as the National War College (2006) where he earned the distinction of Distinguished Honor Graduate while securing a MS in National Security Strategy. He has served in operational and command assignments at every level with 8 combat & operational tours in Panama, Iraq, Africa, and Afghanistan. Specifically, he participated in the opening campaigns of Operation Just Cause in Panama, Operation Desert Shield / Storm in Iraq, and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
