My name is Andrew Braithwaite. I’ve been working in IT for 17 years and I like to think I know a thing or two about it now. I’ve spent most of my career working for large systems integration companies having worked for both IBM Global Services and Atos Origin. I’ve had a variety of roles over the years. I started out as a C programmer working with Ingres databases, I’ve done Java, and have used pretty much every language out there at some point. Over time my roles have changed. I have been a configuration manager, software designer, technical architect and development manager. I like delivering working systems, and have used a variety of methodologies to do this. I have a soft spot for RUP, I kind of like scrum, and love a bit of kanban. In my spare time I play hockey, run and cycle. When I get time I like to play golf (really badly).
