Currently I provide technical support for a major software company in the hospitality industry. The systems we provide have many moving parts and many dependencies. My job is to keep all the plates spinning in accordance with the SLAs. In the 90`s I worked with distributed network computing systems for one of the largest manufacturers of network hardware, Cabletron Systems (now a part of Extreme Networks.) Then I moved on to supporting Cisco IOS devices, TCP/IP routing protocols and unix as a consultant in Greater Boston. Then I switched gears with a job in supply chain around bar code readers, mag stripe readers, wireless, mil-std mobile computing and AIDC label printing. In recent years I`ve been focused on cloud computing, web 2.0, clustering, databases, and a renaissance of Linux and TCP/IP protocol work thrown in for good measure.
