Hi, I`m Julia. I`m 18 years old, straight out of high school, and I`m working as an intern for a software company in Georgia. My dad is a programmer, so I`ve been around this stuff my whole life, but of course, as a little girl I never cared to pay attention. I make tutorial videos for the company my father works for, explaining how to use salon management software. Sometimes I troubleshoot and organize databases in Microsoft Access. My next project will be pulling SQL statements from my dad`s source code. I`ve found in these past few months that I have just the creativity, spacial cognition, and problem solving skills that are needed for computer science. I`m in the process of learning how to use CSS, HTML, and SQL. For the time being, I can put text and buttons on a webpage, but I`m optomistic that with a little (f*ck that. A LOT of) practice, and some help from this site (that my dad showed me because apparently my questions far surpass the things he`s trying to explain), I can build a skillset that will secure me a career in this ever-expanding industry.
